The club had a great day at Herne-Bay regatta on the 3rd of August with some excellent rowing in very varied conditions. There was a win for our Women’s junior pair of Andrea Faulkner & Tabitha McConnell! Followed by a close battle to the line for our Masters40s crew of Jon Osborn, Gary Hammond, Trevor Back & Lewis Bacon who took 2nd place.
A third place for our Captain, Jon Osborn in Junior sculls and some promising rowing from our senior men’s crew achieving 4th place in their first appearance of the season. Our novice men’s crew of Gabor Kristof, Nick Barham, Trevor Back & Vince Herencia, finished the day strong, again fighting neck and neck to the line for 2nd place.
There’s smiles all round at the club as we squeeze in those final training sessions ahead of our final league regatta of the season at Southsea.
